Design Competition

Entered as a collaborative team submission on invitation from engineering firm Arup, this competition scheme won the Highly Commended prize in the 2005 Young Structural Engineers International Design Competition. With the brief requiring a civic building to be designed to last 1000 years, we proposed that to meet this requirement it was of paramount importance that a building be both iconic and adaptable, such as the Pantheon of Rome.
